Thus the width is at least 77 cm as the wood lies.
The east-west boarding is under the western side bar of bed (No. 552) and under the wooden core there of.
Over the boarding runs the line of 557 which seems to join the [ILLUSTRATION] cut out in runner side of gold of north end bar (521) and similar cut out in south end bar (visible behind pile of bowls). This is correct for bed was upside down.
The two copper implements 564 and 566 are under boarding on floor.
The staples 553 and 563 lie over the boarding.
Scattered over the east-west boarding are a number of clumps of black wood accompanied in some cases by leather(?), or black metal or plaster, or S-inlays. These are from a staff (or similar) which has fallen on the boarding.
Over all these, lay the gold cases of the carrying chair (559, 560, 561, 562, etc.)
We proceed to clear up the extraneous black wood etc. on top of east-west boarding.

Removed 572: Clump of decayed black wood and plaster west of 557.

No. 574: Had a number of inlays and was given a special plan (see page 505) drawn at this point.

*A3904: no. 574 etc, looking southeast
*B5988: nos. 564 and 571b, looking south

Removed No. 571b: (see above) Cleared up under 571b and exposed the copper implement No. 564, which lies on rock under all, there is no connection with 571b.

Removed 573: East of 557, black wood with curly fragments of leather (?).

Removed 575: Northeast of 574, mass like 573.
