The scaffolding for the lights obscured the room and restricted the general views. Now the greater part of the floor is clear, and lamps can be carried by hand to any desired position these beams have become unnecessary. We propose to use a single post with an arm for carrying the working light. This can be wedged fast between roof and floor and shifted in a minute by knocking out the wedges.

The diameter is considerably less than that of the poles on the coffin. Perhaps there are two pieces of furniture or three in the heap. [ILLUSTRATION]
