Filled stone mastaba on independent site, G 2471 a, G 2472 (and G 2476?) are built against it. Against the east wall of G 2471 in the corridor to north, we found 1) a limestone circular offering stone with incised inscription, 2) north of the stone an offering basin also with incised inscription. Both are in situ in original position. [margin note: 916 a, 924, 951, 952, 971, 983, 984; March 11th; offering basin, offering stone]

Objects. In debris to north of G 2471, found one limestone fragment inscribed in sunk relief, two small limestone fragments with incised inscription, one fragment showing "bowls".
Eight shafts A, B, C, D, E, X, Y, Z.

Shaft A [G 2471 A]: Cut in rock. Chamber on east, cut in rock. No blocking. Broken wood coffin collapsed on body, running north-south. [margin note: Drawn by Nicholas - Head north?]

Shaft B [G 2471 B]: Chamber in shaft, roofed with two slabs. Chamber built of crude brick running north-south. Tightly contracted skeleton, head north.

Shaft C [G 2471 C]: Cut in rock. Chamber on west (blocking slabs rubble mud, intact), cut in rock. Decayed wooden coffin. Tightly contracted skeleton, head north, wrapped in linen. [margin note: drawn by Nicholas]

Shaft D [G 2471 D]: Chamber on west, (blocking, rough stone, rubble mud).

Shaft E [G 2471 E]: Ends at rock. No chamber.

Shaft X [G 2471 X]: Cut in rock. Chamber on north, built of masonry.

Shaft Y [G 2471 Y]: Chamber on north, built of rubble.

Shaft Z [G 2471 Z]: Chamber on west, built of masonry. On two stones on south side of chamber are red marks, also on one roofing stone.

Filled stone mastaba built against G 2471. One shaft A.

Shaft A [G 2471a A]: (Chamber on east built of stones. This east chamber is apparently in a second shaft built inside) (the original shaft A). On April 11th bottom of main shaft A not yet reached. [margin note: 931, 951; April 11]

G 2472
Filled stone mastaba built against the southeast corner of G 2471. Shafts A, B, X, Y, Z. East-west serdab. Recess (for stele) at south end of east wall and interior chapel at north end of east wall. Chapel entered from east, probably. In debris of chapel, found decayed limestone fragment inscribed in sunk relief. Length 1.3 meters, width .53 meters, thickness .15 meters. Shaft A [G 2472 A]: Cut in rock. Chamber on west, cut in rock. In shaft debris: three inscribed fragments in sunk relief with traces of black paint.
